It’s my birthday! Today I turn a whopping 33 years young. I’m one of those people that still gets excited about their birthday even though aging at this point in game isn’t as fun as it used to be. Something about it being my special day makes it just that, special. So today I thought I’d share with you some random facts about yours truly, 33 to be exact. I’m not going to lie, this was way hard than I thought it would be. Enjoy!

  1. I’m 1/4 Puerto Rican. The other 3/4 is a big ole mix.
  2. I’ve only ever lived in coastal states. All but one have been on the East Coast.
  3. I was born in Virginia Beach, VA.
  4. I have 6 tattoos. One of them is actually two separate pieces.
  5. I have 7 piercings (all in my ears).
  6. I got my belly button pierced when I was 16 and it was the worst decision. It’s since closed up.
  7. I’ve worn glasses since I was 7 and contacts since 10.
  8. I have 20/600 vision. I’m hoping to get Lasik sometime this year!
  9. I wore braces for four years and have a permanent retainer behind my two top front teeth. It looks like a staple. It’s weird.
  10. I wear my socks inside out. Always.
  11. I never took calculus.
  12. I played the lead in my high school musical my junior year.
  13. I played Juliet in 5th grade. (Don’t worry…PG version!)
  14. I hate driving. I didn’t get my license right when I turned 16 because I didn’t want it.
  15. I LOVE music but don’t care for concerts.
  16. My favorite band is Need to Breathe.
  17. I only went to one outdoor summer camp.
  18. However, I spent MANY summers at performing arts camp!
  19. I’m a terrible bowler.
  20. I love grocery shopping.
  21. I started competitive dance at 6.
  22. I once participated in a competition with a 102 fever.
  23. I fell off the back of a portable stage DURING a dance at a competition. I took down the back drop too. Good times.
  24. I worked in two different coffee shops after college and it’s still one of my favorite jobs I ever had.
  25. I was a certified Zumba instructor before I had kids and taught 8 classes a week.
  26. I got my cycling instructor certification but only taught one class.
  27. I’ve been blogging for almost 7 years.
  28. The only sport I ever played was golf.
  29. For no particular reason, I wanted to be a pediatrician when I was little.
  30. I prefer red wine to white.
  31. I was a vegetarian for one year. ONE.
  32. My husband and I grew up about 15 minutes from each other but met online when we were 23/24.
  33. I’ve only been out of the country once. I got to go on a cruise with my dad, a work “President’s Club” trip, when I was 14 because my mom didn’t want to go. It was awesome!
