Mommyhood

Bumpdate // Week 32

Mama Bear shirt from Maison Wares

What’s a jicama you ask?  It’s THIS…just in case you just wanted to know.

Physically, how do you feel?
Still trying to find that sweet spot for sleeping.  I think I may have found that no extra pillow works for now.  Next week, who knows?!  RC has been pushing in some weird places lately so it will set off some nerves in my pelvic/hip and leg area.
I also think that this being a summer pregnancy has a bit to do with my uncomfortableness.  Mr. G is a winter baby so this is a very different experience.  In the winter I didn’t have to shave my legs as often either, so there’s that!

RC’s movement?
He loves to jab something, an elbow/his tush/not really sure, into my right side every now and then.  Mommy does not like it.  He bumps along a lot in the mornings and in the afternoon, especially if I’ve waited a little longer than usual for lunch.

Another common time for him to move is when I’m at work.  I think that may be because I’m stretching and being active so he’s getting moved around quite a bit too.

How’s the nursery coming along?
The crib is in and the closet has been cleaned out and is ready for some newborn clothes.  Last week my mom came over to help me go through Mr. G’s old clothes and see what we had saved from his baby stuff.  Apparently, not much!  Or it’s lost somewhere from moving, but I think we’ve been through every box in our garage.  It’s a good thing they grow out of the newborn clothes pretty fast so we won’t need too much.
Needless to say though, if you look at the picture, it’s coming right along and I should have a nursery reveal pretty soon!

Any new cravings/aversions?
Ever since hubby bought pickles during a grocery shopping trip, it’s been a craving.  Pickles and olives are my jam right now!  Pretty stereotypical craving, huh?

How’s Mr. G doing?
He’s really hit his 3 year old stride (aka “threenager”).  Since we’re seriously nearing the end of the pregnancy, I’ve started talking to him more and more about how things will be different and being a big boy helper, etc.  He goes from not wanting to share things, like yesterday when he as not going to share his bathroom, to telling me he’s going to share his toys and help feed his brother.  It’s super hard to make up your mind when you’re 3.  Either way though, Mr. G loves feeling his baby brother move and puts his hand on my belly all the time.

Are you expecting?  I’d love to hear about how you’re feeling and what you’re experiencing, no matter if it’s your first or your 15th!

XO, Kelly
