Our First Home

Here she is folks! Well kind of…
This is a fun piece of art I’m working on for my collage wall. (Which I cannot wait to put up!)
It’s weird being in a house now and Hubs and I still kind of feel like we’re just visiting.  But it’s starting to feel like home now that we have unpacked most of the boxes.  Not to mention the clean workshop out back that we can now store things in.
So now that we’ve settled I can finally show you these lovelies!
I have dreamed of owning a home for a while now but along with that dream, I knew I wanted moving announcements.  I know, I weird thing to dream about, but I can’t help it!  I would look at all the invitation/announcement sites and look at the ones I liked, maybe even click the favorite button on one or two.  Then, about 2 weeks from our closing date, I was contacted by Tiny Prints (a sister company of Shutterfly) to look at their collection of invites, announcements, and cards to see if there was something that struck my fancy.  Hello!? My mouse clicked straight on those moving announcements!
But which to choose?  I knew it couldn’t be too girly or flowery since this wasn’t just for me.  It had to appeal to Hubs too.  Let me tell you, there are so many to choose from, I probably sat there for thirty minutes and favorited about eight cards.  But I was able to narrow it down to two that I liked the best and sent Hubs an email for him to make the final decision.  However, I really liked the option of ordering samples.  If you just can’t decide, you can order one of each design you like, customized with your info, and decide once you see what they actually look like.
I also like that these are postcards.  No need for envelopes, especially if you’re still unpacking and have no idea where envelopes might be!
Can’t wait to send these babies out!
XO, Kelly
