Saw It, Pinned It, Tried It // Washi Tape Feathers

I so thought this DIY was going to be easier than it was at first.  The directions are in another language (Swedish maybe? please correct me if I’m wrong) but I thought the pictures were pretty self explanatory so I gave it a try.  After I got a couple done, it became easier.

What You’ll Need:
Washi/Decorative Tape
Twine
Scissors

Layout a piece of washi and place the twine down the center.
Place another piece of washi over the twine.  Be sure to match up the edges.  That’s the part that takes a couple tries sometimes and definitely gets easier with each feather you make.
Shape your feather and snip along the edges to fray the tape.
If you use a chevron tape, which looks pretty cool in my opinion, be sure the points are going in the direction of the snips you make.

I added mine to the nature dream catcher I made a while back.
I think they add a nice touch of color and more texture.
