Thrifty Thursday: Reclaimed Wood Plaque with Frame & a Freebie

Back in February, we were finally able to celebrate something very special.  LM got baptized!  Since we recently became members of our church, we were very excited to get to do this and celebrate with our family.  I wanted to get something for LM’s godparents, but what?  This what I came up with.

What You’ll Need:
Large Piece of Wood + Scraps
Modge Podge (or other sealant)

Paint your wood.  This is some old pallet wood from one of my hubby’s projects.  You can also paint your frame if you like. Using Modge Podge, glue your print out to one side of the wood and brush a layer on top to seal it.

Glue wooden scraps to three sides of the back of your frame.  This will lift the frame off of the wood so that the photo can be changed.  These little scraps can be found at any craft store.

Glue the frame to the other side of your wood making sure to put the open end up.  If it’s not, your picture will fall out!
Put a cute picture in and display!

I added LM’s baptism date to my print out.  If you would like to do that, save the image and, with photo editing, you can add the date you need.  You could also just write it on the printed image.

And here’s your FREEBIE!
