31 Days to an Organized Home: It’s Sys-to-matic #4

Using a System: @ Eye Level

Keeping items that you regularly use at eye level helps with whatever system you create.  This has been very helpful with our pantry!  I noticed, after about 500 reorganizations, that the things we used the most would end up on the “wrong” shelf.  They would just go on whatever shelf was closest.  Clearly this is where my brain thought it should go, so why not put it there in the first place!?
My husband and I are quite different when it comes to height so it’s actually made organizing at eye level pretty easy.  He likes to snack, so those items go up higher.  I love cooking and am a SAHM so, naturally, those are the things I need at my eye level.
Yes, the breakfast items are fairly low but compromise has to be involved too! 🙂
Items we don’t use so much, i.e. pitchers, cake plates, etc, go up higher.
So far, it’s been like this for a couple of weeks and I think it’s pretty darn effective!
