Saw It, PINNED It, Tried It (Link Up #2): Modern Botanical Art

When I first saw this on Pinterest, I thought it was a very pretty print and I started to continue to scroll down.  But then I saw those three little letters…D, I, and Y! So I clicked “REPIN” and this is was ensued…
I had an old unused frame so I painted the background.  You could also use some scrapbook paper, solid would work the best.

Find a floral/botanical print you like and cut it to the size you need.
Place the print under the glass, as you would a regular picture.  Using paint, trace the outline on top of the glass.  A paint pen would definitely work best but I was using what I had. Fill in any areas you think would look best, play around with outlining and shading too!

Remove the print and display!
I was pleasantly surprised at how this turned out! I love it!
Alrighty, time to link up!

Now it’s your turn!  Show me what you’ve been trying from Pinterest.  Be it food, decor, DIY…whatever you’ve been “pinspired” by, I wanna see it!
